Christopher Thompson Royds
Biography
Since establishing his studio in 2010, Christopher Thompson Royds has redefined the floral jewel with a language that is both poetic and precise. Born in London and raised in the Cotswolds, he distils the beauty of the English countryside into wearable creations that celebrate nature in its most fleeting forms.
Working primarily in gold, Christopher creates studies of wildflowers that evoke the delicacy of freshly gathered specimens. Each piece sits at the intersection of jewellery and art, morphing into an ethereal sculpture when not worn. A timeless reflection on beauty, fragility and permanence, his creations speak to the naturalist’s eye as much as the modern collector’s sensibility.
Christopher’s work is held in major museums, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, CODA Museum, and Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim, and has been exhibited widely across Europe, Japan and the United States. It continues to captivate collectors who value quiet beauty, deep meaning and the enduring power of simplicity.
